Susan & Blair

Susan and Blair's engagement pictures were taken on the University of Alabama Campus.

Erin and John

Here is a sneak preview of Erin & John's engagement pictures. The pictures were taken at Unity Grove's Campground in Palmetto and at a cabin on a lake.

In Memory Of...

Aunt Sherri.

The schools here in our community are doing their annual book fair and one of the schools is doing their's in honor of one of their teacher's that just recently passed away...our Aunt Sherri. Each day is something different....one day they'll be wearing western wear b/c Aunt Sherri loved country music; they'll wear brown on another (Aunt Sherri's last name), they'll wear something that associated w/ Disney (b/c Aunt Sherri loved Disney World), and on Tuesday, they'll wear aprons b/c she LOVED to cook. I was contacted by one teacher and close friend of Aunt Sherri's to fix her an apron in honor of her. I hope she likes it. I fixed it thinking of how Aunt Sherri would want it and like it the most.

So now...we need to get busy cookin'.

Jack and Lil' Gertie

The "Crafty Side" of Me!

As some of you know, I've also have a crafty side. I'm trying my best at sewing, but if you ask me to make you a dress or something, I'm gonna have to direct you in another direction b/c that is one thing that I've not accomplished yet. However, after you get that dress done, I'll be able to embroider your initials on it. Here are some of my embroidery and painting work.

Ridin' In Style

This is the beginning of Jamie's new project...his new race car...a 1986 Buick Somerset. I know what most of you are thinking, but hey...in the end...it'll all be good. And it's not all about the looks...it's about the time and how fast you go.
This is what he raced last year. Nice, huh! Well...like I said earlier...it's all about the time and speed...not the looks :(

Another project that he has going is restoring the '75 Camaro and bringing it back to life. He did race it, but now it's time for it to go back on the street...only this time it's gonna have a lil' more kick to it.
Just think...when all this is complete...we'll be riding in style!!!

The Wedding Invite

Here is a rough draft of my niece's wedding invitation. Don't laugh too hard when you read the wedding's destination...it's exactly the way the groom would have it. :)

T-town Trip!

Isn't it odd how we always classify our drive to Tuscaloosa a trip? Maybe its because we don't have the excitement here in Gordo. Does going to T-Town wear you out, or is it just me? Going from store to store, trying to find Jack a new pair of shoes was so agonizing. My first stop: the mall. We meet Angie and Alaina for lunch and afterwards, head to Shoe Station with a few stops at some other stores in between. We get in there, and the store doesn't have any decent looking New Balance shoes. UGH!!!! So, I look at Jack and say, "We're gonna have to go to Shoe Carnival!" Ahhh....the excitement of having to hop back in the car and go to another store. Well...to keep it short...we get there, and they don't have anything! And let me say this before I continue...Jack's not just wanting any type of New Balance shoe...he wants the one that he can just slip on!!! So, after we have to purchase a new pair of socks b/c Jack spills his drink on the ones he had one, we are off to the car again in route to Academy. This is where all the drama occurs. We walk up and down each isle and then Jack sees the shoe. Its a Skecher, it's a slip-on, AND it's LIGHTED!!!!!!! Of all the shoes that he had to find...he had to fall in love with the light-up ones. Now as you can probably tell...I'm not a fan of light-up shoes. I try to pull some other shoes out, but there was no way to convince him otherwise. I tried many ways of trying to talk him out of them but nothing was gonna work. So, needless to say...I gave in! After walking around and comtemplating the situation, I thought to myself, "What is it gonna hurt for him to have some "light-up" shoes. As fast as he grew out of the last ones, he'll be out of these around the time school lets out for the summer.

This is a sample pic of what the shoe looks like. His are navy/silver.

So, after ending our day with supper at the McDonalds in Wal-Mart and Wal-Mart itself, we've survived the day....Thankfully. Maybe it'll be a while before we have to go back.

Now...On to other things. Many people have asked if I had a website for them to see my photography work. Well friends, here is a slideshow that shows just a handfull of my work.

IT STARTS...

Well...I've done it. I've finally started a blog! YAY!!! I've been reading so many other blogs from other friends and all, and I thought, "What the heck! Lets start one today!" So here it goes.

We are a family of three (well, actually five if you count the dog and cat). I'm Brandy. I'm married to Jamie and have been for almost 10 years. ( Anniversary is coming up Babe, so be prepared!) Jamie and I have been together for 13 years and I don't know what life would be like without him. We've been up, down, and all around and that is what makes our relationship strong. We have a lil' boy, Jack (5 years old) and he's wonderful. He's your typical lil' boy with an imagination. He's into "TRANSFORMERS" and his favorite character is Bumblebee in which he likes to have one day (the car that is). I'm a stay-st-home mom without the stay-at-home feel. My interests are huge! I love taking pictures and you'll see a lot of them hopefully on here. I also embroider, paint, scrapbook...and a few more.

So that's just a lil' bit about me and my family.
