Just had to share this...

My sister text me earlier today letting me know that there is a close-up picture of my nephew, Wesley, sit-skiing while he was at Camp Assca this summer. I would've never dreamed that he would have participated in the activity, but he shocked us all when he told us that he did do so. There is no telling what he'll try next year!

Wow! It's been THAT long!!!

Wow! I can't believe it's been a month since my last post.

Well...let's get started on a few updates.

Overall, we had a really nice Christmas and New Year. I have to say that 2008 was a good year filled w/ so many blessings for my family. We've had new members come into our lives and some have passed. We've been healthy, happy, and most of all, together. I thank God daily for giving me such a loving family, a wonderful husband, a bright lil' boy, and a baby girl that has been in my heart since the day I learned I was pregnant.

As you can tell by my counter, I'm 30 weeks prego! Almost 2 weeks ago, I had my 28th week check-up and we went ahead and scheduled my c-section for March 27th! When you sit back and look at it, that's not really far away and I'm afraid it'll come before things get done. I believe I mentioned some posts back that we had intended on closing in the carport and making 2 new bedrooms for both Jack and Ava Grace. Well, that lil' project has been put on hold due to the fact that Jamie doesn't really like the idea of closing in the carport and it being so cold outside. So we're planning on starting it hopefully in March or April when the weather is more work tolerable. Besides, the baby's gonna be in our room anyways for the first few months so there's no need to rush, right? Now all we have to do is get the armoire done so that she'll have a place for her clothes.

Here is what her bedding looks like. This picture is not that good....the bedding is so much more brighter and colorful in person. I'll post pics as soon as we get her lil' corner done. As I mentioned, we went to the Dr's office for my 28th week check-up and 4D ultrasound. As far as the check-up, everything checked out perfectly. I'm measuring right on target and so far, everything is looking good. As for the weight gain, I'm very pleased to announce that at that moment, I've only gained 8-9 pounds. As of today, I'm up to 10. So no complaint there at all. With me being only 5 foot tall, there's limited space for the baby to grow and believe's been tight for both me and her for about a month now. Bending over to pick up something off the floor is hilarious, (ask Holly, she caught me in the prego bend/squat yesterday); I have to have 2 pillows when I sleep and when I sit, I have the baby's boppy around me (backwards) so that I don't slouch and make the aches and pains worse. Heartburn is still around and I'm grateful for the Pepcid that I'm allow to take twice a day. Overall, the pregnancy is going great. I'm loving feeling her wiggle inside my tummy and watching my belly move around is just amazing. I can feel her stretch and when she does, her lil' bottom is pushed out and you can definitely feel it. Here are a few of the many 4D pics that were taken of her a few weeks ago. We think that she has a dimple in both her chin and cheek, but we are not quite sure on the hair b/c of the location of the placenta, which was making it difficult to see the top of her head. The ultrasound technician said that she could see some on the back, but again, the way things are, it was making it hard to tell. She also checked her measurements and at the time, she was 2lbs, 14oz! BIG GIRL! I can't wait to see how big she's gonna be when she finally gets here.

Check out her "pouty face"! That's the face that she's
gonna give her Daddy when she want something!
28 weeks, 4 days prego
I've got so much more to share along w/ a up-to-date prego shot. I'll go Wednesday for my 30th week check-up and I'm hoping and praying that everything continues to go as good as it is.
Have a good day!
