WOW...

...didn't realize it's been several days between posts. =(

We had a good Easter, most of the kids were at my parents house which was nice. They all got to play and enjoy one another. We attempted pictures, but there were only a few that were good. Gage, my great-nephew, cried in all of them...don't know if he seen Daddy or what (he cries when he sees him - we think it's the white hair! ). Anyways...here are a few pics that were taken Easter Sunday. (The picture of Ava and Poppaw Frank - his 29th great-grandchild)

Ava Grace is doing wonderful! She's growing way too fast. It's hard to believe that she's almost 4 weeks old. Here's a list of things she's doing so far.

*She's still sleeping through the night...about a 6 hour stretch.
*She's a cuddlier.
*She likes baths and showers.
*She cries as soon as she poops...she doesn't like a dirty booty! =)
*She follows voices.
*She's more alert, making eye contact and smiling a lil'.
*I would guesstimate that she weighs 10 pounds already!

I'm so thankful that she has a big brother that loves her so much. He loves to give her kisses and hugs and wants to know where she's at all the time. He mentioned the other day that he couldn't wait for Ava to be big enough to play w/ him outside - I wish time would slow down just a lil' bit for her to be a baby longer. Jack has grown up way too fast...he'll be 7 in the fall =(. But that's the way things are and we have to try to endulge in our daily lives and try to capture whatever we can because we cannot get the past back. I try to get a picture daily so that when I look back, I can remember how my children were growing up. The picture is now, but just wait...in a few months/years, these 2 are gonna be fighting for some crazy reason and I'll come back to this picture and remember how things used to be.

My Lil' Sleeping Beauty

Allow me to let you in on a lil' secret.....

I'm one lucky Momma! I have a beautiful baby girl that is a "dream" baby! =) Now, I know I may be speaking too soon, but I just have to brag for a moment. Ava Grace is such a wonderful baby...she eats, sleeps, and cries only when absolute necessary (ex. when I'm changing her clothes - she hates being naked). She sleeps for about 6 hours in the night which allows me to get the needed rest that I need to get through the day. We have been truly blessed!

I'm also blessed to have a lil' boy who adores his baby sister. I'm thrilled to say that we have not yet seen any signs of jealousy so far and I'm praying that we don't. He was known to be a "Momma's Boy" before Ava Grace was born, but now I've noticed him wanting to be more and more with his Daddy.

Things have been wonderful around here. I honestly thought before Ava was born that it was gonna be a difficult transition for us all, but it's not. Ava fits perfectly! I cannot express enough how grateful we are to have her a part of our family.
I hope you all have a Great Wednesday!

Well...Since We've Been Home...

....things have improved. You all know how it is being in the hospital - its miserable. You're trapped in one lil' room w/ a TV that you cannot control (b/c your husband has the remote) and a bed that is SO uncomfortable, you are so thankful that your chiropractor is on your speed dial. But, that's my only complaint; I definitely cannot complain about the nursing care b/c they were wonderful and I couldn't have asked for any better. They were very helpful w/ everything and the midnight shift were quiet and respectful to the sleeping husbands. By Sunday, the walls were beginning to close in on both Jamie and I, and we were hoping that the Dr. would let us go home...which he did! Thank you Dr. E!!!

Sweet Baby Ava Grace is doing wonderful. She's sleeping like a baby and only cries when she's either hungry or has a dirty diaper on. Every morning she's greeted w/ a kiss and snuggle from Jack and when he gets home from school, the first thing he does is wash his hands and asks to hold her and they both spend about 30 minutes on the couch watching SpongeBob, SquarePants. Such Love!!! Jack has been so good w/ her and is wanting to know every detail of what's going on. I'm so glad that he's now a Big Brother....he's such a wonderful Big Brother!

Here are some pics that have been taken since our Homecoming.
